Javea Weather
There are a number of sources providing weather information for Javea, but some take their information from observation stations some distance away. One popular solution is to use the information from the weather station at Alicante Airport, some 70-80km away.
However, being one of the most easterly parts of Spain, Javea enjoys a unique micro-climate often milder and sunnier than towns north of the Montgo Mountain or south of the Calpe tunnels. You may also see a variation in temperatures reported owing the the frequency at which the various sources are updated.
Therefore, we have provided a selection of weather related links for Javea on this page but plan to launch our own weather station in the Javea area to reflect the most accurate, up-to-date information directly from our holiday letting - so watch this space!

This personal weather station in Javea itself is privately owned and contributes to the weather underground network. Their website archives weather data for the town which indicates that the average temperature for Javea in 2008 was 18.2 celsius (the highest 34.3). As a point of interest, that average temperature is lower than in the previous three years - so no sign of global warming here then! Many ex-pats have favoured the BBC weather forecast for Javea as they have been familiar with the images used and the observation station was listed as being in Javea. However, that has recently changed and the BBC now state that the monitoring is from Alicante. The forecast is shown below and we are monitoring the accuracy of their reports since these changes.
