Golf Courses near Javea

You're never too far away from a golf course wherever you are on the Costa Blanca and our Javea villa rental is no exception with a golf course in Javea itself.

Javea Golf Club

Javea Golf Club is easy to find on the main road between Javea and Benitachell and offers a 9 hole course with two putting greens and a driving range.

The course was designed by Francisco Moreno and opened in 1981 and the 9 holds are Par 72 (9 x 2). There's also an established club-house and swimming pool suitable for children.

If you decided to play a round or two, you can only normally book a tee time a day in advance.

Oliva Nova Golf

Just 20km away is the enormous Oliva Nova Golf Club.

The 50 hectares development includes a par 72 links 18-hole course of 6,350 m with a slope of 120. The best score of 63 strokes has been held for nearly a decade now.

Speaking about the course Seve Ballesteros promises that it ofers "...great possibilities to all golfers, as it has short, medium and long holes, and fairways with left and right doglegs. I think it poses a challenge to any golfer."

As you can see from the course diagram to the right you need to be prepared because only three of the holes are free of water obstacles and the latter part of the course requires additional skill because of wind.

Several major tournaments are held at Oliva Nova Golf and it's a regular venue for celebrity and charity events too so attracts a number of famous names from the world of sport and entertainment.
