Villa Cristina
Our private villa with pool is a spacious villa near Alicante and Valencia. Villa Cristina is an ideal holiday let with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for two familes or a large group and has its own private pool.
Javea
Javea is located in one of the best parts of the northern Spain right on the border of the Alicante and Valencia provinces. It's one of the most easterly parts of Spain and on a clear day you can see the islands of Ibiza and Formentera. Alicante and Valencia Airports are both just over an hour.
A number of airlines fly directly to the Alicante and Valencia from all parts of Europe. Monarch and Ryanair regularly offer low-cost flights between the UK and Alicante which is a few kilometres closer.
Javea itself is split into three distinct areas; the Arenal beach, Javea Port and the Pueblo or Historic Old Town. Our villa is close to the very popular Arenal beach. From there, a pleasant 2km sea-front stroll will take you to the port with its harbour, small marina, sailing and surfing schools.
Leisure Activities
As well as the local bathing and waterports including diving, there are a large wide range of different activities (including golf) courses within easy travelling distance, not to mention dozens of restaurants and bars all within easy walking distance, some of which we've highlighted in our Javea Restaurant Guide. Try some of the freshly-caught fish, or sample a selection of traditional Spanish tapas.
Javea Weather
With average daytime temperatures rarely dropping below 15-16 degrees (60 Farenheit) throughout the autumn and winter, our villa near Alicante and Valencia is perfect for a winter getaway or autumn or spring break. You can monitor the current Javea temperatures to see for yourself that our villa rental is in a perfect location all-year-round.
Javea enjoys an average 320 days of sunshine throughout the year and as one of the most easterly parts of Spain enjoys it's own micro-climate, helped by the protection to the north of the towering Montgo mountain.
Nearby Towns
Our holiday letting offers and ideal base to explore many towns on the northern Costa Blanca of Spain. Denia, with its ferry port and bustling shopping, is a short drive over the impressive Montgo mountain (or you can take the lower Jesus Pobre road if you prefer) but there are many smaller towns such as Jalon/Xalo, Gata de Gorgos and Pedreguer that are worth exploring too.
Jalon
Also written as Xalo, the Jalon valley sports a wonderful display of almond blossom at the first sign of spring. The river side is the location of a thriving weekly market every Saturday and the town has a wine museum.
Valencia
Valencia, famed for the Fallas and worth taking a couple of days to explore both traditional and modern buildings (such as the City of Arts and Sciences) is just over an hours drive away. You can take either the AP-7 toll road (just over 7 Euros) or the slower N-332 national route. There are also regular coaches from Javea and public transport in Valencia is superb with EMX (buses/trams) and a Metro system.
El Verghel
The Safari Park is a popular destination for families and the park also hosts two rastros a week, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. During summer months, children have an opportunity to swim with the sea lions.
Towns and Villages to visit on the Costa Blanca
As our site builds, and based on the experiences of guests that stay at our Javea villa rental, we'll be adding more individual pages about nearby towns and villages that are worth a visit. The list above is a tiny selection - there's lots more to see and do!
